How it works
Everything is online and self-paced. Here is the journey from sign-up to certificate.
1. Create your account
Register with your first name, last name and email. Your name is used on your certificate, so enter it as you want it to appear.
2. Purchase the course
Pay securely online in pounds sterling. Access is granted automatically as soon as the payment is confirmed.
3. Work through the modules
Ten short modules of learning screens, interactive cards, coaching scenarios and knowledge checks. Progress saves automatically to your account, so you can stop and return whenever you like.
4. Take the final assessment
25 questions drawn at random from a larger bank, covering coaching practice, safety, planning and welfare. The pass mark is 80%.
5. Retake if you need to
If you do not pass, your result shows the topics to revisit with links straight back to the relevant modules, and you can try again.
6. Download your certificate
Pass and a personalised PDF certificate is issued with a unique certificate number that anyone can check on our verification page.

Frequently asked questions
- Who is this course for?
- Riders, helpers, stable staff, parents and aspiring coaches who are new to coaching equine sport and want a structured, welfare-first foundation before gaining supervised practical experience.
- Do I need coaching experience?
- No. The course assumes no previous coaching experience, although familiarity with horses and riding is helpful.
- How long does it take?
- Ten short modules, studied at your own pace. Most learners complete the course over a few sittings.
- How long do I have access?
- You have lifetime access from the date of purchase.
- What is the pass mark?
- The final assessment is 25 questions and the pass mark is 80% (20 correct).
- What happens if I do not pass?
- Your results screen shows the topics to review with links back to the relevant modules, and you can retake the assessment.
- Is the certificate a recognised qualification?
- No. It confirms completion of this introductory course only and is not a regulated or professional coaching qualification. See the course disclaimer.
- Can someone check my certificate is genuine?
- Yes — anyone can enter your certificate number on the verification page.
